GETTING OUT OF DEBT

At some point in time almost everyone can relate to having credit card debt and not all are successful at overcoming this financial crisis. Here are some useful tips to follow.
KNOW WHICH CARD TO PAY OFF FIRST.

Begin payment on the cards that have the highest interest rates and pay the cards with the lower interest rates accordingly. This will help to reduce your balance a lot easier than if you pay them off randomly or just based on the balance. You should also try contacting your credit card company and request a reduction in your interest rate.
REFRAIN FROM USING YOUR CARDS.

As soon as you realize you’re in way over your head, stop using your credit cards, even if you have ones that aren’t maxed out because the more you spend the more debt you’re incrementing on yourself.

CONSOLIDATE YOUR DEBT.

If you’re not maxed out on all of your credit cards then you can transfer your debt to one of the cards that have a low interest rate. This will give you more time to make your payments and alleviate some of the stress in reducing your debt.

REJECT CREDIT CARD OFFERS.

If you’re being bombarded by credit cards in your mail one way in which you can prevent credit bureaus from distributing your name and address is to call
1-888-5-OPTOUT and get the forms needed. You can use the internet instead to find credit cards that are suitable for you.

PAY MORE THAN THE MINIMUM.

You should always try to pay more than the minimum because credit card companies make the minimum low to increase your time limit of having to pay for your balance. It’s all about their profit in the end, the longer you take, the more money they make.
